Un misionero con una ducha nueva

Day: 20 months... πŸ˜¬

Pushup Count: 157

Buenos dias mi gente! I don't usually talk about how long I've been out in my emails, but today I hit 20 months. It's a little strange. But anyways, I thought I'd let you know just in case any of you need to mentally prepare yourselves for my return. Highlights from this week:

- Last pday I made zupa toscana on a whim and it turned out pretty good
- We also came home that day to find a lady tearing out all the tile in our shower... By the end of the week we had a completely new ducha πŸ˜‰
- We had a vegetable pinewood derby... Elder Daniel won
- On Tuesday we went down to Santa Clarita for district counsel and then I started an awesome exchange with Elder Lopez. We went to Yums (no donuts this time πŸ’ͺ🏼), tried out whiteboard finding, and then ate tamales  for dinner πŸ˜‹ I also met the legendary Grandma Tate and she told us some really spiritual stories
- The next day we had a sweet lesson with Juan. Please pray for him as he's making some difficult changes in his life right now πŸ₯²
- Ryan aced his baptismal interview with Elder Kerner and was super pumped for his baptism πŸ˜
- I went on exchanges with Elder Young in Wasco. I got to speak so much Spanish, it was awesome πŸ˜± Elder Eagar joined us for the evening and proved to us that the gift of tongues is real by always having the right picture ready even though he doesn't speak Spanish
- After that I went straight to Ridgecrest and joined the Spanish trio there. Got to speak even more Spanish as Elder McIntyre and I walked the area for six hours πŸ˜ It was sweet. We got bashed twice and a member gave us ice cream bars
- Elder McIntyre taught me a couple of card tricks so I'm basically a professional magician now
- I found a cool keyboard that could record layers so you know i messed around with that for way too long πŸ˜‚
- On the drive back from Ridgecrest Ryan texted us and said that he fell down a flight of stairs and sprained his ankle and he couldn't even walk. Unfortunately we had to postpone his baptism, but he's determined that it'll happen. Please pray that he heals and can be baptized in the next couple of weeks.
- Former Elder Dawson Purcell came to town for the baptism, but when it got cancelled he just joined us contacting people in the Target parking lot. It was really weird, but a blast. We got Panda Express with him just like old times πŸ˜
- Last night I heard thunder and saw lightning for the first time in almost two years. It was strange πŸ˜‚
- Right when the rain hit we got let in by an inactive member's dad, who fed us spaghetti and told us mission stories from Mexico. Miracle πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
- Three of our friends came to church yesterday. Double miracle πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
- We had another awesome lesson with our friend Michael last night. He literally asked us if he could be baptized again and said he wants to come to church πŸ”₯

We've been seeing a lot of really cool stuff happening in our area lately. Its awesome to see the drought ending and the Lord blessing us for our diligence in the last couple of transfers. I love you all, let me know how you're doing and if there's anything I can pray for!

Spiritual Thought:
Try reading Alma 38 as if Alma were God speaking directly to you. It's super cool. It's also only 15 verses and it'll take you like five minutes so yeah... No excuses ☺️

Mucho amor,
