Un misionero renaciendo

Day: First day of spring!

Pushup Count: 163

You know it's interesting. The further along I get in my mission, the less and less desire I have to write these emails. But... I love you guys so I'll keep it up :) Highlights:

- I felt prompted to go talk to a lady in her car πŸ˜¬ so I did and she told me he grandmother had just passed away... Thanks Spirit ☺️
- Talked to some Spanish speaker at target and ran at them with a Spanish pass along card
- We had zone conference #1 in Palmdale 1️⃣
- On the way back to Bakersfield, Elder Eagar and I picked up a car from the shop to drop off in Rosemond... We ended up getting delayed. A lot. So we didn't get back to Bakes until 7 πŸ˜‚ Cool story tho
- We had zone conference #2 in Bakersfield 2️⃣
- Had a lesson with one of our friends... Said he wants to be in church leadership πŸ˜¬
- We had zone conference #3 in Lancaster 3️⃣
- I went on exchanges to North Edwards πŸ˜±
- Visited Hermanan Gonzalez and the Gonzalez family (no relation)
- Me echΓ© una siesta en el carro πŸ˜΄
- We had a lesson with Dillon on the plan on salvation, and then he came to church!
- Our professional basketball player friend showed up to the iglesia again πŸ’ͺ🏼
- We went to Target at 9 o'clock to buy cough drops πŸ˜’ pobrecito Elder Daniel
- We had a picnic with Rigel and Orion... Probably the coolest twins I know

Really nothing interesting happened so I will not be offended if you didn't read all of that. I love you πŸ˜

Spiritual Thought:
D&C 17:8 "And if you do these last commandments of mine, which I have given you, the gates of hell shall not prevail against you; for my grace is sufficient for you, and you shall be lifted up at the last day." If you keep the commandments, you'll be blessed. AsΓ de sencillo. I know that's true :)

Mucho amor,

Buenos dias a todos! I officially journaled twice this week so I'll try my best to remember what happened, but no promises. Highlights:

- On pday we drove up to Wasco and President cooked us all burgers and hot dogs. I ate a pb&j burger to get the dollar back from Elder Archibald πŸ˜…
- I took the spanish assessment and somehow improved a couple of points πŸ‘€ that was cool
- We had a lesson with a guy who told us that he could time travel through people's minds... That was fun πŸ˜‚
- We had an awesome lesson with our new friend Juan. We ended up not teaching anything we had planned and it was perfect
- We picked up the greenies πŸ₯³ I took out Elder Goggin for his first night and he did awesome
- We had transfers... Giving out new cars and changing tiwis... Oh yeah πŸ˜‰
- We took the departing missionaries to the airport πŸ₯²
- We found new people to teach! My goodness it's been so long, but we're so excited to have some new friends
- We met and taught a 6'7" professional basketball player, and he's all in
- I tried a baja blast... Not world changing like Elder Daniel said it would be, but it was alright
- We had four people come to church πŸ˜± that's the most individuals I've had my whole mission, and they all said they want to come back
- I spoke in church on 1 Kings 3:11-12. I've never read 1 Kings before so that was an adventure
- Andrew took us to his dad's house and we each ate 2 chilis straight off the tree... They weren't too bad, but my stomach started aching that night πŸ˜‚
- Aldair made us tacos dorados :)

Sorry everyone, I realize my emails are getting less and less interesting, but oh well πŸ˜‚. Maybe one day something crazy will happen. I love you all, let me know if anything more interesting has happened in your life.

Spiritual Thought:
This week I've found a lot of joy in following the spirit. I know that the promise in 2 Nephi 32:5 is true, "For behold, again I say unto you that if ye will enter in by the way, and receive the Holy Ghost, it will show unto you all things what ye should do". Take the time to learn how the spirit speaks to you. You won't regret it :)

Buenas tardes mi gente! I don't have much to comment on this week, so I'll just jump right into it. Highlights:

- Last Monday we went golfing and I did pretty good. Not score wise, but I did good for me πŸ˜‚ I hit my first par (completely by accident) and it was awesome
- Elder Eagar came out with us on Tuesday evening and we had a wonderful time as always
- On Wednesday we ran the emergency transfer to get our new companion. Soo we picked up the new zone leader, drove down to Santa Clarita, ate yums, and then came back with Elder Daniel
- We had the office missionary staff meeting which was very pleasant. I played the piano, and we ate bagels
- We had MLC in Tehachapi and everything went smooth. We came up with a new mission emphasis and some items to address at zone conference
- I broke a window... Basically I accidentally cause our pullup bar outside to come loose with an exercise band and it spun a 360 straight into the extra bedroom πŸ˜‚
- We had a super cool lesson with our friend Ryan — stay tuned for the spiritual thought
- We got panda πŸΌ
- Mauricio came to church here for the first time! He left right after sacrament meeting so we were a little worried, but then he came back and said he was talking to Bishop about his temple recommend! We're super exited for him πŸ˜

Sorry it's pretty short today, there wasn't much that happened. Love you all tho :)

Spiritual Thought:
Our friend Ryan was struggling with some stuff this week, so we were praying and fasting really hard, harder than I ever have in my entire mission. When we came back and followed up, he said that he was doing so much better, and for some reason he didn't even really feel tempted. I know that reason was our prayers and fast. It was so cool to see that power work in his life πŸ˜

Buenas tardes a todos! How's it going? There's not much craziness to report this week so I'll just jump right into it. Highlights:

- District council in North Edwards! It was crazy to drive back out to the nothingness where I started my mission
- We went to Winchell's and I folded hard... But the old fashioned donuts are sooo good πŸ˜‚
- I went on exchanges with Elder Byington. He's awesome, and we're both going to USU after the mission so we had a blast
- We got jumped by a raccon... Not really but he did scare the heck out of us πŸ˜‚
- We had a lesson with Mauricio! It was so good to see him after so long. He's struggling a lot right now so please pray for him
- We picked up new mission vehicles πŸ˜ the RAVs that I drove each only had 7 miles on them πŸ˜³
- At institute we had a guest speaker who was super cool. He worked in the white house and was the government liason who got the extermination order ended in the 70s πŸ€―
- I went back to Esperanza on exchanges with Elders Davis and Bennet. We had such a good time, and we got to teach my favorite rc ever, Alfredo. He kept telling us that he could get all the girls he could ever want but he doesn't because they're all crazy πŸ˜‚
- On that exchanges they made/let me teach English class all by myself with no plan. I got to talk to a Columbian named Leo that had very little English experience. It was one of the most fun and touching moments of my mission :)
- We went straight from Palmdale to Valencia and I started my exchange with Elder Brady. We had a good time, and he bought me Chick-fil-A πŸ˜Š
- We had a lesson with this dude named Eddie who brought two of his valley baptist friends and they just bashed us for an hour before we got out πŸ€¦πŸ½‍♂️
- But then we had two other awesome lessons and that made up for it... And we got panda too :)

Pretty average week here. I'm excited to get our new companion this week and then have transfers the next. It's gonna be awesomeness πŸ˜

Spiritual Thought:
From the guest speaker on Wednesday: "You have to have two testimonies. You have to know that the gospel is true, and you have to know that the gospel works". Both testimonies are vital to our spiritual survivial.
