Un misionero apurado

Day: el dia del jucio final

Pushup Count: 133

Hola a todos! Como les fue la semana? This was a crazy busy week for us in the White Oak, but I managed to journal three whole times πŸ˜‚. Here's what happened:

- Elder Gordon took us golfing ⛳ I did really good... Then I didn't. But it was a lot of fun πŸ˜‡
- We ate Costco hot dogs πŸ˜‹πŸŒ
- I gave a training on recent converts in French (kinda πŸ˜‚
- We had our social media council meeting at Cafe Rio πŸ˜‹
- We filled supply orders πŸ€―
- One of our friends asked us why everyone in our church is addicted to energy drinks πŸ˜‚
- We taught Ryan about the Holy Ghost and then he made us milkshakes and we had some good laughs πŸ₯€
- One of the new greenies from Uruguay got here early, so we took him to an English lesson πŸ˜¬
- We barely made it on time to pick up all the new missionaries, but they came in when we were in the baΓ±o πŸ˜‘
- I took out Elders Nielson and McFarlane for their first night of missionary work. We got kicked out of a parking lot and bashed twice. It was awesome! πŸ˜
- We had transfers πŸ₯² Elder Paxman went to his dream bike area, so now its just Elder Daniel and me keeping the mission from burning...
- It was the smoothest transfer in my time here... I felt stressed that we were forgetting something the whole time haha
- The departing missionaries came and stayed at our house Thursday night, and then we took them to the airport the next morning. Probably the happiest group I've taken so far πŸ˜‚
- We started our mission wide Book of Mormon reading challenge πŸ€“
- We had the quickest transfer planning in history πŸ’ͺ🏼
- Caroline joined us for four lessons in one day... What a legend πŸ˜Ž
- We taught Alan about tithing, fast offerings, and the temple. He was blown away by the temple and is so excited to go do baptisms for the dead after his own baptism
- Mauricio gave us bean tacos πŸ˜ unfortunately they made my stomach feel like I was getting stabbed πŸ˜… Still taught a great lesson after tho
- We had dinner with Elder Bursett and his family. They gave us so many taquitos that we were about to explode, and then they brought out the cake...

It was a pretty good week overall. We're quickly adjusting to the duo dynamic, and I'm really excited to see how this transfer goes. I love you all, let me know how you're doing :)

Spiritual Thought:
This week we started our speed read of the Book of Mormon as a mission. Unfortunately my plans to finish it before starting the challenge did not go through, and I ended up jumping from Helaman to the beginning ☹️ Buttt, I got a cool perspective because the Lord was telling Nephi details about how his posterity would fight against that of his brothers if they weren't righteous. That was exactly what I was reading about before! I realized how much foresight would have been required on the part Joseph Smith if he had written the Book of Mormon. Obviously we know he didn't, but it testifies to me that the book really is divinely inspired and is a true history of people trying to follow Jesus Christ. I know that's true. What else matters?

Mucho amor,
