Un misionero parrandeando

Day: the 20th...

Pushup Count: 193

Buenos dias a todos! Digo buenos dias con la esperanza de que termine con este correo antes de las 12 pero vamos a ver como queda πŸ˜‚. This week I set a goal to journal every day and I was successful until Wednesday... So yeah we'll see what I can remember. Highlights:

- Last pday we played gagaball, which is a super weird concept but actually really fun with a lot of people
- I cut Elder Montes' hair... Hopefully he doesn't hate me πŸ˜¬✂️
- We went to a district council in east Bakersfield and then I started exchanges with Elder Pugmire. We had a really good time despite an interesting experience with a dude who told us some freaky stuff
- We made chicken tostadas that were super good πŸ˜‹
- We taught a YSA named Zach and he brought his wife πŸ‘€ to the lesson... Kind of a curveball πŸ˜‚
- We stopped by this lady that I had shared a couple of scriptures with in the past and she kinda forced her husband to listen to us. But it turns out that he's soooper prepared and accepted a Book of Mormon very graciously
- I got kicked out of my first parking lot πŸ˜‚ It's a miracle that I've been in this area so long without getting asked to leave somewhere
- We knocked a complex, first door said he didn't know anyone who would be interested because all his neighbors were Sikh. We should've taken him seriously because the next half hour was nothing but uninterested Indians πŸ˜‚
- I went to La Cresta with Elder Cary on exchanges. One of their recent converts told me I speak almost perfect spanish so that was a nice confidence boost πŸ˜Š I also got screamed at by an old latina lady on a doorstep. I was trying so hard to not laught as she was just shouting nonsense and making crazy gestures πŸ˜‚
- I went to Ridgecrest again, this time with Elder Sjoblom. We got bashed but we taught a super good lesson in the church building πŸ’ͺ🏼
- Saturday was Luis' baptism! πŸ₯³ We taught him the first lesson before passing him off to Hermanas so we got to go watch it. The best part was that our friend Ryan came, and even though he doesn't speak Spanish he said he felt the spirit really strongly and it washed away all his worries and anxieties about being baptized πŸ˜

Solid week. Not much else to say. Love you all, let me know how you're doing!

Spiritual Thought:
"I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me... When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!" — Joseph Smith Jr.

Mucho amor,
